2.2. Generated through events

Question text, optional display names, votes, session identifiers, moderation actions, room configuration, and aggregated analytics used to operate Q&A sessions.

2.3. Technical data

Log data, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP for security and diagnostics, and cookies or similar technologies described in our Cookie policy.

How we use personal data

We process personal data to:

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Services;
  • Authenticate users and prevent abuse;
  • Communicate about the product, billing, and critical service notices;
  • Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)

Where required, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing our platform and understanding product usage in aggregate), consent where we ask for it, and legal obligation when applicable.

Sharing and subprocessors

We share data with infrastructure and service providers that help us host, analyse, notify, and invoice customers. They process data on our instructions and under appropriate contractual safeguards. Enterprise customers may review our Data Processing Agreement for processor commitments.

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. Customers may delete or export certain content from their workspace subject to technical limits described in-product.

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect data. Details are summarised on our Security page.

International transfers

Where data moves across borders, we use recognised transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent approvals alongside supplementary measures when needed.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise rights or ask questions, contact privacy@qapoint.com.

Children

The Services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
